Director of Life Safety Systems

Urban Alarm is seeking a key member of our team to manage the sales, design, project management, and delivery of Commercial Fire Alarm Systems. You will be involved in evaluating project opportunities, designing the strategy and scope for new projects, oversight of project management and the delivery of Commercial Fire Alarm Systems and Security Systems that may integrate with them.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and develop strategic and technical approach to Commercial Fire Alarm System opportunities
  • Manage customer relationship for key projects
  • Manage project management team and process; Provide project management for key projects
  • Collaborate with Fire Alarm System Engineers on the design and technical approach for projects
  • Work with AHJ’s through the permitting process
  • Verify the quality of technical team work; system installation; system programming
  • Manage project budgets and resources to deliver projects on time and budget
  • Support and participate in the design of security systems that integrate with Commercial Fire Systems

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Fire alarm system project management and engineering expertise
  • NICET III or IV Certification
  • Effective at working through system design challenges and managing internal and external resources.
  • Experience managing budgets and project schedules
  • Capable of designing / scoping projects in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar tools
  • Expert in Commercial Fire Alarm System Programming
